Traditional braces had their drawbacks: you had to endure uncomfortable hardware that stays in around the clock for 2-3 years, you were forced to give up some of the foods you love, you’d be seen carrying special tools for cleaning, there were mouth sores and cuts, you needed to take time out for in-office adjustments, and then there was also all the hard-to-miss metal in your mouth.

But things are different with Invisalign. Truth be told, Invisalign is such a radical departure from the old way, that these “braces” can hardly be viewed as braces at all. This system is more like wearing special mouthguards or whitening trays to get the job done.
